Service agreement

[Have a lawyer or your insurance agent look this over before launch. It's a plain starting point, not legal advice.]

The ground rules, in plain English. Signing up for service means you agree to them. Questions? Call or text [(555) 555-0123].

Getting into your yard

You give us a way in: an unlocked gate, or the code or combination. If we can't get in on your visit day because the gate is locked or blocked, we'll text you and wait up to 5 minutes. If we still can't get in, we charge a $10 trip fee instead of the visit.

We latch every gate behind us and text you a photo of it. After we leave, the gate is in your hands, so we aren't responsible for a gate someone opens later or one that doesn't latch properly. If your gate is tricky, tell us how it works.

Your dogs

Tell us about every dog in the home when you sign up. Got a new dog? Tell us within a week, and we'll update your price. If a dog is loose and we don't feel safe going in, we'll text you and wait up to 5 minutes for someone to bring it inside. If nobody can, we charge the $10 trip fee.

We won't go into a yard with a dog that's aggressive toward us. You're responsible for your dogs and for keeping them current on vaccines.

What we clean

We pick up everything we can see in the areas you chose when you signed up. Please keep the grass mowed and the leaves raked, because we can't find what's hidden in tall grass, leaf piles or snow. On mulch, rocks and gravel we pick up what's on top, and we don't crawl under low decks or porches.

Missed a spot? Tell us within 24 hours and we'll come back and get it free.

Where the waste goes

We bag it, tie it off and put it in your outdoor trash can, so it goes out with your regular trash pickup. We don't haul it away. Please keep a trash can where we can reach it. If it's full or we can't find it, we leave the tied bag next to it.

Weather and holidays

If rain, snow or storms keep us out of your yard, we reschedule within 48 hours. [Winter policy.] We take Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day and the Fourth of July off. A visit that falls on one of those moves to the next day.

Your yard

Tell us about anything in the yard we should watch for, like holes, sprinkler heads, buried dog fences or plants to stay away from. If we damage something, we'll tell you right away and make it right. We aren't responsible for damage that was already there or for hazards we weren't told about. [Liability limits and insurance details, worded by your lawyer or insurer.]

Your price

Your price is based on what you tell us when you sign up. If the yard turns out to be bigger, have more dogs or take a lot longer than described, we'll tell you the new price after the first visit, before the next one. If you don't want to continue at that price, you can cancel.

Billing

We charge your card after each visit, and you get an emailed receipt every time. Weeks you pause cost nothing. We take cards only, no cash or checks. If a payment fails, [we pause service until the card is updated]. If our prices change, we'll tell you at least [30 days] ahead. Founding customers (our first 15 households) keep the price they signed up at for as long as their service continues. If you cancel and come back later, current prices apply.

Free first cleanup

With a weekly plan, your first cleanup is free as long as you stay for at least 4 weekly visits. If you cancel before that, we charge the first cleanup at its regular price, shown on our pricing page.

Pausing and canceling

No contracts. Pause for vacation or cancel anytime by text or email, at least 24 hours before your next visit. That goes for one-time cleanups too. If you cancel later than that, or we show up and can't do the visit, we charge the $10 trip fee.

Photos

The gate photos we take are for you. [We may post before-and-after photos of yards on social media, never showing your house number, street or face. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't use yours.]

Changes to this agreement

If we change these rules, we'll text or email you before the change takes effect. How we handle your information is covered in our privacy policy.
